Now don't let the name fool you, this place should really be called Fosterelli's. It's run by a lovely old Italian gent and has recently had a makeover. The decor used to be dowdy but now the walls are brighter, there's a few Monet's on the walls. What more do you want with your cheese panini? OK so the prices are a bit much for stuff you could prepare at home, but Carmine (the owner) and his fit daughter serve you with a smile, engage you in convo and the food is always fresh.

The cafe is overpriced, the owner pretention ("we don't serve chips") and the food merely average. Like any other greasy spoon ordering is at the counter and payment at the till, and my smoked salmon omelette was dry and overcooked, while the salad which accompanied it was not elevated beyond the common salad leaves, tomato and red onion fare just because it was slathered in balsamic vinegar reduction.
In short, I've eaten better at the Royal Grill across the road for £10 rather than the £30 it cost in the end, and did not leave feeling cheated.
